- Furstenberg’s sign is a clinical finding seen in nasal encephaloceles
- With an encephalocele, because it has intracranial communication, there will be increase in the size of the mass with compression of the internal jugular vein.
- This is different from other congenital midline nasal masses such as a dermoid cyst or nasal glioma, which do not have intracranial communication.
