Estlander Flap

  • The Estlander flap is a lip switch rotational flap used to reconstruct full-thickness defects of the lip. 1
    • Unlike an Abbe flap, an Estlander flap involves the oral commissure.
    • Generally used to reconstruct full thickness defects involving 1/2 to 2/3 of the upper or lower lip, which involve the oral commissure.2
